Men's Artistic Gymnastics
Bunnerong's MAG Program combines physical abilities of power, co-ordination and flexibility with a disciplined focus.
MAG is a great activity to channel energy and fearlessness.
It begins with balance and strength development and continues to develop a complete range of physical demands which can be used in any other sport.
The six competitive apparatus in MAG are Floor, Pommel, Rings, Vault, Parallel Bars and Horizontal Bar.
MAG at Bunnerong
We offer Gymnastics Australia's National Levels Program from Levels 1-10.
Classes are run by Gymnastics Australia Accredited coaches.
Children must be selected to commence training in a MAG squad, after first undergoing a trial in the chosen class. Once their trial period, which may differ between squads, has finished the Competitive Program Manager will arrange to meet with or email parents regarding the future of their child in the squad.
It must be understood by parents that there is a large commitment involved in their child starting in the MAG Program.
Additional to the increased training hours, there could be multiple weekends which must be spent at Regional and State competitions in locations across NSW. The demand of training and competitions can be a mental challenge for children and is something that will require dedication and persistence.
Gymnasts must arrive at the gym at least 5 minutes prior to commencement of their class.
If a gymnast is going to be late to or miss a training session, parents must call or email the office to make the coach aware.
