Bunnerong Gymnastics Association Inc is a well-established incorporated gymnastics club. Having opened by Kim Morris in 1980 with 8 gymnasts, it now caters for over 1,000 boys and girls from the age of 18 months. The club is fully self-supporting and hard working parents, coaches and gymnasts fund raise to supplement the income generated from tuition fees.
The Association has developed in giant leaps from its humble beginnings in a primary school hall, then to a small factory and finally to its current large permanent facility. The gym is now permanently set up with pits, sprung floor, Olympic apparatus, trampolines and a vast array of supplementary apparatus.
The program at Bunnerong is one of the most comprehensive in NSW, and the Association has been awarded thehonour of NSW Club of the Year in 1987, National Clubs Champion Club in 1990, Regional Champion Club in 1995 and 1996, Women's Artistic Gymnastics Elite Club of the Year in 2002, Women's Artistic Gymnastics NSW Champion Club 2004, 2006 NSW Coach of the Year, NSW Athlete of the year 2008 & Business Finalist in 2009. There is a program for every child, whatever their aspiration or ability.
We aim to provide an environment that encourages two-way communication, so your feedback is important to us. While the professionals look after the technical, management and administrative aspects of the gym, there is plenty of scope for families to become involved in the club atmosphere. Offers of assistance with club functions, social events, displays, fund-raisers and competitions are always welcomed!
We hope that by working together, your children will experience the joy, achievement and camaraderie that Bunnerong Gymnastics Association has to offer.
